It can sometimes seem a little daunting when faced with the prospect of organising a fancy dress party in August. You may not have decided on a theme yet, who you want to invite and whether to set the party outdoors in the garden or not. But with so many possibilities it can be difficult narrowing it all down.
With so many options you should first make a checklist of all the things you need to do and do a little research online into the many different themes you could select. There are a lot of questions you have to ask yourself, such as ‘how many people should I invite?’ and ‘should I put on food too?’
Once you have thought about the type of party and the number of guests, you should send out the invites, giving your friends as much warning as possible so they can get the date in their diaries and have enough time to order their fancy dress costumes. Talking of what people will wear; try to choose a broad theme if possible so people have more choice available to them.
As the party date gets nearer make sure you have your own costume ready and all the supplies such as food and drink, although you could ask the guests to contribute towards this by bringing something with them.
With everything arranged and decided on, all that is left to do is go and enjoy your summer fancy dress party.
